Five Seconds!
In roller derby, referees and NSOs (Non-Skating Officials) work together to keep games fair and running smoothly. Referees skate on the track and enforce the rules in real time by calling penalties and monitoring gameplay. NSOs work off-skates to manage scoring, penalties, timing, and statistics, ensuring accuracy and organization throughout the bout. Both roles are essential—without NSOs, games can’t run, and without referees, rules can’t be enforced.
Peach State Roller Derby relies on volunteer officials for all of our events. Our head referee is BuckShot Rogers and our head non-skating official is Serious Sarah. We appreciate their guidance on rules and partnership in making our sport safe and fun for all.
Support Our Skaters
Dear friends and community,
I'm reaching out to you today to support Peach State Roller Derby, a Marietta based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through the sport of roller derby. Since 2011, Peach State Roller Derby has been promoting health, self-esteem, and athleticism while providing a safe and inclusive space for athletes to thrive.
Your generous donations will help us continue our mission by:
Hosting our 4-week "Crash Course" training programs for prospective skaters
Providing practice space to help our newest skaters continue training with the team.
Together, we can ensure that the spirit of roller derby continues to inspire and uplift our community. Please consider donating to support our journey. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
In order to further our mission of supporting our community, PSRD pledges to donate 10% of the proceeds from this fundraiser to the Georgia chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
With Gratitude,
Mommy Dearest, on behalf of PSRD

New skaters learn the basic rules by playing derby in socks! Everyone gets a chance to try being jammer and blocker.
This is a pack skate. Skaters are training to skate close enough together to touch while maintaining a derby stance. While skating laps, the participants are practicing the different styles of falls and stops that are taught during the workshop.
